Presented by artists Julián Delgado Lopera and Rebeka Rodriguez, Would You Be Caught Dead in That Outfit? celebrates the legendary intergenerational histories of TransLatinas on San Francisco’s 16th Street. Part installation, part archival project, this stunning visual collection centers the lives transgender Latin American immigrants and their contribution to the fabulous fabric of San Francisco’s queer history.
Outfits, dress-up, the joy of putting together something extravagant and daring on the body and walking into the club to be seen, recognized and celebrated by community are at the heart of this project. In photographs and through journals, Would You Be Caught Dead in That Outfit Tells TransLatinas histories through a prism of the creative party aesthetic beating with life on 16th Street.
A collaboration with El/la Trans Latinas, the GLBT Historical Society and AIRSF.

Would You Be Caught Dead in That Outfit? / ¡Qué Perra Mi Amiga! will be donated to the GLBT Historical Society where it will live in perpetuity - serving as an archive of the rich contributions of TransLatinas to San Francisco's vast transgender history.

Presentado por les artistas Julián Delgado Lopera y Rebeka Rodriguez, ¡Qué Perra Mi Amiga! celebra las legendarias historias intergeneracionales de TransLatinas en la calle 16 de San Francisco. Por un lado instalación, y por otro un proyecto de archivo cuir, esta colección visual centra las vidas de inmigrantes TransLatinas y su contribución a la historia cuir de San Francisco.
Outfits, vestidos, la felicidad de construir un look extravagante y salir al club a que te vean tus amigas, te reconozcan, a que tu comunidad te celebre es el enfoque de este proyecto. Usando fotografía y crónicas, ¡Qué Perra Mi Amiga! Cuenta historias trans Latinoamericanas centrando la creatividad estética de la fiesta, esa energía que late con vida en la calle 16.
Una colaboración con El/la Translatinas, el GLBT Historical Society y AIRSF.
No se pierda la celebración de la noche de apertura el 22 de Septiembre a las 5pm en Pacific Felt Factory.
¡Qué Perra Mi Amiga! será donado a la The GLBT Historical Society donde vivirá en perpetuidad, sirviendo como un archivo de las ricas contribuciones de TransLatinas a la vasta historia LGBT de San Francisco.
